6 Reasons to Invest in Window Tint Orlando Professional Services
I went to a window tint Orlando shop to get my car windows tinted recently. I never particularly cared for the dark window tint that a lot of people have installed, and I was afraid I’d wind up with a suspicious looking vehicle that attracted the attention of the cops. But there’s a good reason that I decided to trust a local car window tinting shop with the windows of my car…in fact, there are a few good reasons!
6 Reasons Why I Invested in Window Tint Orlando Professional Services
For me, the biggest reason why I decided to invest in professional window tint is my migraines. I have suffered from migraines for more than twenty years and one of the biggest triggers for me is bright light. After talking to my neurologist he suggested not only investing in high-quality sunglasses, but he also recommended looking into tinting my car windows to help with photophobia.
2. Reduced Glare
One of the biggest reasons why window tinting Orlando professionals install window tinting films is to reduce glare. Here in Orlando the sun can seem so much brighter than other areas of the U.S. and getting high-quality window tint can reduce that glare and make it easier and safer to drive especially right as the sun goes down.
3. Lower Skin Cancer Risk
According to the CDC figures on their latest report, 23.7 out of every 100,000 people reported new melanomas of the skin and a total of 6,484 melanomas of the skin were reported. Although this isn’t the state with the highest rate of skin cancer (that’s Utah if you’re wondering), the numbers are still pretty shocking so it’s important to take every precaution you can to protect your skin against UV ray exposure. There are more than a few ways to do this and window tint is just one more and it’s one worth investing in for your health.
4. Reduced Car Interior Temperatures
Depending on the type of window film you invest in and the window tint Orlando shop you visit (I went to this professional window tinting shop and was really happy with their work), there are film options that are designed to reflect heat. This is a huge thing for those of us living here in Florida because it keeps the interior temperature of your car down ie: less chance of burning your legs on leather seats and less chance of scalding yourself on the seatbelt latch.
Lowering the heat inside your car with window tint also reduces the toll that the Florida heat takes on your car’s air conditioning unit. If you’re like me and you can’t make it through a two-minute drive without your AC blasting, this is a BIG deal.
5. Shatter Resistance
Although I invested in car window tinting for my health and the reduced toll on my car’s AC unit, I found out when I went to have my tint installed, that it actually offers shatter resistance too. When you have your car windows tinted with high-quality film, if you get into an accident, your tinted windows won’t shatter the way that untinted windows do. The film on the window keeps the glass from shattering and makes it a much less dangerous situation than if your windows were to shatter on impact.
6. Professional Versus DIY Window Tinting Films
Another thing that I found out after I went to the shop to get my car windows tinted, is just how terrible DIY window tinting film can be. When I was getting my windows tinted, a guy rolled in with a really odd-looking tint on his windows — it was purple and textured. After he’d gone to sit in the waiting room I got to talking with the technician who was working on my windows and I asked him what was going on with the purple windows. He told me that it’s something they see a lot — people buy window tinting film from the store thinking that it’s as simple as sticking a film on their windows, and they soon find out that it’s not. The “over the counter” window films aren’t cut accurately, people don’t have the right tools to install them, and they’re such poor quality that they quickly start to turn purple when exposed to the sun. It turns out that this poor guy not only had to wait forever to have the purple film taken off his car windows, but he had to pay for it to be taken off! When the technician told me how much that guys bill would be, I was pretty thankful that I hadn’t attempted to do it myself!
